The winner was owned by Sheikh Mohammed, bred in England by Stowell Hill Ltd, trained by Henry Cecil at Newmarket, and ridden by Steve Cauthen. The winner won by 4 lengths in 2 minutes 29.9 seconds, with 2 1/2 lengths between second and third.
